John Kpiaye has been a mainstay of the UK Reggae scene since the 1970s. As a session guitarist he has played on countless reggae hits.
Along with Dennis Bovell he was instrumental in creating the genre known as 'Lovers Rock'.
John wrote and produced many records on the original Lovers Rock label.
He has worked with such Reggae legends as Dennis Brown, Winston Francis, Rita Marley and Eddie Grant.
Since the 1980s he has toured and recorded extensively with dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson.
John has recently had his music used for Virgin Atlantic and Regione Campania ads.
