John Capek is a highly successful composer, songwriter, keyboard player and arranger. His musical scores feature in numerous films and television shows, whilst his songs have achieved acclaim worldwide. John's unique musical stamp is strongly influenced by his Czech birth, Australian upbringing, North American residency and extensive travel throughout the world.

John became a director of the Songwriters Association of Canada and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and was a founding faculty member of the songwriting program at the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2005.
