| Biog Danish born August Jakobsen is a classically trained (Royal College of Music) guitarist and internationally acclaimed chillout and minimal techno producer and DJ. Working from his studio in Shoreditch, London, August draws on a close group of fellow RCM graduates to produce a seductive and glitteringly modern blend of beautifully crafted instrumentalism and cutting edge electronica, ranging from folk-tinged chillout to the darkest twisted minimal techno. A packed international DJ booking schedule keeps August on the decks around the world; a regular headliner at electronica festivals like Denmark's Roskilde festival, August also holds residencies at London's Fabric mega-club and Ibiza's legendary Space. As well as his own releases on Kismet and Stella Polaris, August's tunes feature on a range of chillout and tehno compilations, including the Stella Polaris and Global Underground series. |
